I too loved virtuality..to bad it didnt got picked for more episodes, and I watched Lost from the first till the last,I was addicted to it..no Games of Thrones?I think i do prefer Bands of Brother more than Pacific..but they were both good...I remember loving the australian-new zealand Spellbinders when I was small along with Roswell,Stargate and X-Files although X-files could be sometimes confusing as I was like 6 or 8 at that time.
ReplyDeleteI have to watch Spellbinders and Roswell. I didn't like Stargate and I liked X-Files, but I have only seen the first season so far. Game of Thrones hasn't made my list yet because I don't think the show found its footing until midway through its first season. With the material it has ahead though (Storm of Swords, which will be the basis for the third and fourth seasons of the show, is amazing), it will probably end up on this list in the future.
ReplyDeleteI totally love your inclusion of Battlestar Galactica in your TV list. It's absolutely my favorite TV show of all time. I'm disappointed that Downton Abbey didn't make it as that's my favorite thing on TV right now (along with Game of Thrones) and that it didn't make your predicted Best Drama nominees, but to each his own.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I don't really like Downton Abbey. As for its Emmy chances, it's hard to predict how it's going to do because it is moving to the Drama categories. It could hit big and be one of the nomination leaders or get totally snubbed outside of a Supporting Actress nomination for Maggie Smith. After it was snubbed for Best Series at the BAFTA awards I am leading towards the latter.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen Band of Brothers? It's totally better than The Pacific.
ReplyDeleteI have seen Band of Brothers. I thought Band of Brothers was far more ambitious than The Pacific, but I just don't think it completely succeeded with what it wanted to do. However, I only rank Band of Brothers slightly below The Pacific.
