66th Primetime Emmy Awards Nominations Predictions: June Update

The Critics’ Choice Awards and the Television Critics Association Awards are far from being reliable precursors to the Emmys.  However, they do function as canaries in the coal mine for surprise nominations on Emmys Nominations morning.  Due to this they do have some value, but are still very difficult to use correctly as Emmy barometers.  As you will see in this update, I found the slightly underwhelming tally for Breaking Bad from these awards to possibly be a sign of things to come whereas I'm a lot more suspicious of the love for The Americans and Masters of Sex carrying over to the Emmys.  The nominees for each awards can be found here and here.
